This is a blog, as you know, that covers the real parts of life. Chaos, crazy, real, raw, parenthood. My faith in God also plays a part in this blog, but I try not to make it overwhelming for those who might want to read but don’t have a denomination, or even those who don’t believe at all.
The thing is though, I am not your typical “Christian” and I honestly prefer no label. My beliefs vary in different areas and I don’t think I can be defined like most people choose to be. I don’t ever push my religion on others, it’s just there.
So, most of the time, when I choose to pray for someone, I don’t actually tell them, I just do it. There are many different denominations, a variety of belief systems. Some believe in multiple Gods, “mythical” Gods as some label them, but you could also argue the same about my God. We all have something we hold onto, and it isn’t fair for someone to try to take it away from another person.
The God I choose to follow did not send me to this earth with a gavel in my hand. My rights to judge others or damn them to an eternity in Hell are non existent. I will love anyone and everyone, regardless of beliefs, who they love, the color of their skin, and so on and so forth.
My purpose is to love others, to show kindness and grace, to lend a hand to those in need.
Some believe they were meant to force people into having the same beliefs as them, but that makes me highly uncomfortable to do to someone. If they read my blog and it makes them wonder if they believe, I am more than happy to answer questions (as best I can) and explain what my beliefs look like. I have an open mind and will gladly and intently listen to what you believe because I find new things fascinating.
We are not meant to control or try to change people to be who we want them to be. We are not meant to cut people down and mold them into what we expect of them. Our job is only to love and encourage others with a full and joyful heart.
Love your neighbor as yourself. Matthew 22:39
