We live in a world where people are expected to share their business with everyone, or it didn’t happen. But, if you do share, you’re just looking for attention and pity. You’re damned if you do, and damned if you don’t.
Someone should never have to advertise that they’re hurting or struggling for you to be kind to them.
Always be kind. Always.
People grieve, heal, process, and grow in all different ways. Being kind to another person will not bring you any harm, but it may just help them on their journey. God sent us to be vessels for one another. To bring, share, and indulge in the love He has for each and every one of us.
Our stories all look different from one another, but how boring would life be if we were all carbon copy’s of one another? God made us and our stories different so that we could help guide one another, not judge others for what we think we have the right to condemn them for.
No person walking this earth has the right to judge another soul. We weren’t put here for that. The only one who can judge us is God Himself, and no one else’s view or opinion of our situation has any relevance.
It takes zero dollars to be kind to someone. It takes zero skin off of your back to smile at another person in passing. Kindness is free. Kindness is also limitless. You could be the reason someone’s story changes for the better. You could be the reason someone’s story continues.
The next time you’re presented with an opportunity to be kind, I pray that you take it. I pray that you open a door for someone or remind them that they are worthy of being loved and having showers of blessings pour down on them.
Be the change. Be the difference. Be a light in this growingly dark world.
